The refinishing of the exterior side of these mahogany doors was pre-scheduled, as so we could remove them to do all work properly at our shop.
The opening was temporarily closed up with plywood panels.
The sun damaged finish on these mahogany doors is lifted, and the color is faded.

Once at the shop, all hardware was removed and the finish on the exterior faces was stripped. Some minor repairs were made and the surfaces were hand sanded.
A light fast mahogany stain was applied, and after all color matching of the panels was completed, the doors were sealed with 4 coats of exterior finish with UV protectant. Finish was also applied to all edges, including top and bottom, to protect from moisture.
The hardware was polished with SimiChrome metal polish and re-installed.

The refinished doors were delivered back to New Preston CT. and installed.
