Walnut Sewing Cabinet

In for complete repair and restoration, this walnut sewing cabinet had lifting veneer and obvious water stains thoughout. Before & After The first step was to remove all hardware and disassemble. Each piece had a turn of inspection and veneer repair and gluing. After all repairs were made, each piece was stripped and hand sanded. After removing the finish from this sewing cabinet, the stains were removed by bleaching the wood. Stained and sealed with a hand rubbed lacquer finish. More stains which needed to be bleached out. Notice the lifting veneer on the side panel. Restoration complete and delivered to Pine Plains NY.
