This Hitchcock style Arrowback Settee (circa 1840) was brought in for reglueing and refinishing.
Step one involved repairing the seat and injecting all the joints with glue and clamping.

The finish was worn throughout the whole piece, as seen on the legs and stretchers.

The finish on the seat had lots of scratches, and a crack devoloped in this single board seat that needed to be shimmed and glued.

The settee was stained and then finished with a hardwearing Liberon Varnish.

Finished off with a coat of American Custom Paste Wax, and ready to deliver.
